Saying “Grace”

Over the last 9 months or so, William has taken the lead in blessing the food. Morning, noon and night he dutifully performs the task for our family. He is especially good at letting us know when we forget – typically at breakfast or lunch.

We started with the song they sing at daycare, but I suppose the influence of “Big Church” led him to say the following one day several months ago:

Dear Lord,
Thank you for our food.
Amen

Last night I turned to him and asked him, for the first time, to say grace instead of the blessing.

So, we bowed our heads and Will did his thing.
