Home for the Weekend

Hooray! For the first weekend in over a month, Mark and I are both home all weekend. We are now the proud owners of a home with no broken windows, and the new neighborhood association won't be frowning when they drop the free newsletter in our mailbox next quarter. Cardboard no more!

I decided to tackle the fake wood veneer in our basement that is peeling off the wall in many places. Want to know what is behind it? So do we. The first layer revealed more fake wood paneling. Then some sort of hard green stuff. The long and short of it? We'll go in full demo mode when the carpet comes out for the tile early next year. Looks like sheetrock will be going in too.
