Every night (and morning and really, all day long if we'll let him) we read Will a book called Good Night North Carolina. It hops from landmark to landmark and slowly the day, which begins at dawn with the wild ponies on the coast, ends with the city lights of Charlotte. The mile-high swinging bridge is one of the spots.
So, after Amy & Patrick's wedding we drove up for a visit. I have the good sense to not cross the bridge, but Mark wheeled Will right across. My heart warmed to see that young Will has some idea of normal behavior and was ready for his trek to end. We also checked out the animal habitats. Will had a great time running around.
Note the outstretched arms.
